Greg Daglis escorted me to and from the premises and gave me a full tour and clearly explained in detail the day to day operation. This process alone, to better understand how a key supplier handles my requests and the length they go to in order to satisfy my needs, was very important.......

Salvage Service
The unique APR salvage model and systems has delivered increased return on asset to APR's customers. Since the introduction of the Statutory Write Off laws in NSW, introduced in February 2011, the benefit in partnering with APR has multiplied three fold.
APR has worked closely with insurers to take a holistic perspective on the repair of accident damaged vehicles. APR’s supply chain services has allowed it to deliver unparalleled value to insurers through parts cost reductions. By further strategic integration of Salvage into this supply chain, APR has demonstrated how the insurer can maximise the value of the Salvage asset. APR’s proprietary systems enable measurement on value creation and cost reduction delivered at all levels of the supply chain through Salvage reinvestment.
This has taken many years of strategic and technological development but these systems are now deployed within the Australian market. Vertical integration of Salvage back into the repair process is now a reality.
With the benefit of APR’s systems and supply chain services, customers have confidence that they are gaining the maximum return for their shareholders on their Salvage, whilst ensuring ‘written off’ vehicles are dismantled for parts not re-birthed through the grey market.
APR works with key insurers to help them better manage their salvage vehicles. The benefits to these insurers include;
- Greater 'Return On Asset'
- Salvage valuation services that are driven by detailed algorithms
- Salvage parts reinvestment opportunities
- Full management reporting outlining sales values, claims cost benefits, repair process cost benefits, Co2 savings reporting per vehicle
- Integration with supply chains so that parts harvested can be reinvested efficiently to repairers
- Full track and trace capabilities
- Elimination of towing and salvage sale costs
Strategy
APR has a strong track record of developing a deep and intimate understanding of our customer’s goals and objectives. We drive ourselves to develop unique strategies that help our customer achieve success. APR’s goal is to be a trusted business partner to its customers, focusing on adding value at all levels. We realise that to develop this understanding requires a great deal of mutual trust, respect, open and transparent information sharing.
Our work on joint strategy has seen us develop systems, products and services that are some of the keys to our customers market leadership positions. We work with our partners to achieve this in a range of ways, whether that be through facilitated brainstorming sessions, working on joint strategies, training sessions or participating in high level meetings with Senior Management Teams.
Strategy is nothing without the ability to execute. At APR we have shown we are capable of delivering large scale, national change management projects in challenging environments. We achieve this by focussing on our agreed strategy and vision, while using clear project management methodologies to deliver the results at the operational levels. We also believe that you cannot achieve these changes without winning the hearts and minds of the people at the ‘coal face’. APR has demonstrated that we can work with all levels of the organisation to deliver on the agreed strategy.
Consulting and Data Analysis
APR provides consulting services to insurers looking to increase their usage of quality, genuine alternative parts. We realise that parts are not an insurers core business, but they are one of the largest costs in the repair process, making up approximatley 45% of the average repair cost.
APR is often asked to perform an independent consulting role to assess the potential for cost reductions. APR's experience in this area and its data analysis tools enable it to carry out professional audits of current behaviours in the area of Alternative Parts usage, while making a determination on the lost opportunity.
Our key focus is on developing a strategy that makes sense together, doing the analysis in a consultative manner to better understand what is happening presently, identify the risk areas, process issues and other internal and external nuances, then providing an analysis document outlining all areas including:
- Current usage levels
- Current internal practices
- Current external practices and the interaction between assessor and repairer
- Missed opportunity quantified in dollars using APR's tested, formulas and algorithms
- Opportunities for change
- Recommendations moving forward with risk analysis completed and presented
Once this process is completed and the decision is to move forward, we move into execution mode. This is the most important part of the strategy as total organisational support and engagement is required. We move carefully and methodically, measuring against our agreed milestones as we go. APR has demonstrated that it delivers results, time and time again, whilst making sure we have willing participation from all parties in the supply chain whether that be, Assessor, Repairer or competing Parts Suppliers.
Supply Chain
APR Manages the only national supply chain of dismantlers in the Australian market. Our supply chain model focuses on the specific and unique needs of each insurer and their smash repair networks. With this clear focus we optimise the level of Alternative Parts use for our partners in their markets.
We develop and foster strategic relationships with key customers at a national level. We then work closely with our suppliers to deliver the result on the ground. This approach has established APR Alternative Parts as a viable competitor to new original manufacturer parts.
APR has pioneered product and service offerings and delivered technology to enable real time trading, quoting and buying.
Insurers benefit from:
- Exclusive access to the intellectual property and the flow on value delivered through APR
- Tapping into national buyers of salvage vehicles
- Working with a strategic partner that aims to deliver fair value to all parties involved in every transaction
- Proven and accepted proprietary trading systems
- Instant access to over 1,000,000 alternative parts spread nationally
- A consistent managed strategy across all the network that ensure consistency in process, buying, pricing, service and quality
- Working with a service provider in APR that is innovative and ready to work closely with its customers in order to achieve a mutually beneficial result through openness and transparency
Assessing Services
One of the key factors in the successful deployment of a sound Alternative Parts strategy is engaging the assessing teams. Our proprietary systems enable the assessor to interact with APR and the repairer using the online assessor login. Without divulging the repairer buy price, assessors are able to reference back using the APR reference number provided to them by the repairer on his/her quote and log onto the APR system to view available parts the list price and their condition.
APR is also working on further enhancing its product offerings within the assessing services part of the business and look forward to announcing these soon.
