Repairers have been faced with various pressures over recent years, whether in the form of consolidation of repairers, pressure on average repair costs or simply tough economic times.  APR works closely with repairers to help them manage and respond to these pressures better than their competitors.

We have a strong track record of working with a wide cross section of repairers to understand their particular objectives relating to their market segment. This is extremely important, as we have come to an understanding that not all repairers are the same. Once we understand the needs of the repairer we work to formulate a plan to deliver clear and measureable results.

APR works collaboratively with repairers to deliver on the plan. We have shown time and time again that we can bring significant resources to bear to assist the repairer achieve the result. Wether it is cutting average repair costs while maintaining margins, or improving throughput whilst retaining quality standards or reaching the trusted position of a self-assessing preferred repairer, APR is able to help.

Many repairers have traditionally engaged teams of parts purchasing staff to manage their parts needs.  APR has worked with many leading repair organisations to take these dead costs away from the business by providing an alternative to this costly approach.  APR and it's supplier in the Victorian market have pioneered this strategy and currently are working with over 35 repairers in this way.  It is part of the APR Key Account Management strategy.

Parts Procurement Strategies

APR has worked over a number of years to maximise the re-use of crash damaged vehicle parts to our repairers. By building the supply channels and maximising the harvest of parts off each vehicle we have produced more parts available to our key customers.

Repairers that choose to work with APR and it's authorised suppliers are guaranteed a higher level of parts availability, quality, service, consistency and margin.  The choice is easy.

Repairer / Insurer Interaction and APR

The Assessing role is an important and valuable part of the insurers processes. It gives the Insurer confidence in the integrity of the quote, that parts searches and pricing are fair and the quality of work done is consistent with the quote along with many other important checks and balances.

As a result of our relationships with Insurers and their understanding of the APR systems and processes, working with APR gives the assessor confidence that the repairer has used state of the art APR systems to explore all reasonable avenues for Alternative Parts. This means that Assessors can work with repairers and APR effectively to maximise the use of all parties time and resources. The APR reference number provides full traceability of the part source. This enables all parties to be sure the part is genuine OEM and is from a vehicle purchased with full integrity and documentation in place.
